Internship - Stream Process Platform

ROLE DECRIPTION

Are you looking for a 6-month internship in IT, starting as soon as possible ?

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Data Services team in a fast-paced, global organization within a dynamic industry.
Based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, you will contribute to the evolution of the digital architecture in SES, moving to a real-time data architecture. The Stream Process Platform uses some of the new technologies in streaming processing (Apache Flink, Apache Beams) combined with a Time series Database (InfluxDB). In this context, your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

• Work together with the Data Services team in the process of evolving to a near real-time data architecture using Databricks and InfluxDB.
• Develop new pipelines to support the ingestion of data into SES systems
• Support of existing pipelines used in the Unified Customer Portal

YOUR PROFILE

1. You must have

• Current student in Information Technology or in a relevant area;
• Strong knowledge of programming languages;
• Fluency in spoken and written English;
• Able to work in Luxembourg (EU citizenship or current valid work permit for Luxembourg).

2. It would be nice if you had

• Strong interest in the global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular;
• Knowledge of Python will be highly appreciated;
• Additional languages considered an asset.
