Internship - Strategy & Market Intelligence

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Are you looking for a 6-month internship starting in January 2024 ?

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Strategy & Market Intelligence (SMI) team in a fast-paced, growing organization within a dynamic industry.
Based in Luxembourg, you will contribute to evaluating our global markets, tracking key competitive, customer, and market information, analyzing major trends in the technology, media, and telecommunication business worldwide and making those analysis available across the organization.
The exposure to a broad range of diverse activities will provide a comprehensive understanding of the SMI department. This position also works closely with various other departments and business verticals.

In this context, your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):

• Investigating state-of-the-art tools on information collection, warehousing, and process automation, and help drive adoption within the SMI team
• Improving and update internal market intelligence databases and dashboards
• Analyzing and report on key Financing/M&A trends in the global satellite communications industry
• Assisting in developing data-driven business and customer insights
• Providing other ad-hoc support for various internal stakeholders from corporate functions and verticals

YOUR PROFILE

1. You must have 

• Current student in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics, or in a relevant area;
• Experience with workplace automation tools, e.g., Microsoft Power Automate;
• Knowledge of data visualization software, e.g., Microsoft Power BI, and other data analytics platforms;
• Technical competency: Python, SQL, Generative AI;
• Ability to cope with multiple priorities and to work under tight deadlines;
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a global team; flexibility in hybrid working environment;
• Fluency in spoken and written English;
• Able to work in Luxembourg (EU-nationality or current valid work permit for Luxembourg).
   

2. It would be nice if you had

• Strong interest in the global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular;
• Experience with financial modeling being a plus;
• Excellent analytical and judgment skills;
• Can-do attitude, with drive to follow through on tasks until completion;
• Good communication and inter-personal skills;
• Additional languages considered an asset.
