Internship - Satellite Resource Allocation

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Are you looking for a 6-month internship in Engineering starting in January 2023? Are you interested in joining a fast-paced, global company in a unique and innovative industry?

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Advanced System Engineering team that is designing and planning the next generation of flexible satellite systems.

Based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, you will contribute to design and implement algorithms for resource planning and allocation for flexible satellite telecommunication systems. In this context, you will be responsible for (non-exhaustive list):

• Working together with the Advanced System Engineering group to implement spectrum and power assignment algorithms for Hight Throughput Satellite systems;
• Assisting in developing algorithms for ‘cost’ optimized resource allocation;
• Implementing algorithms and constraint formulations in Python.

YOUR PROFILE

1. You must have

• Current student in Computer Science, or in Engineering;
• Strong Python programming skills;
• Fluency in spoken and written English;
• Able to work in Luxembourg (EU-citizenship or valid work permit for Luxembourg).
   

2. It would be nice if you had

• Knowledge of Matlab is considered advantageous;
• Interest in solving complex problems (like in strategic/complex board games);
• Additional languages considered an asset.
