Internship - HR Business Partner Assistant, Technology

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Are you looking for a 6-month internship in Human Resources starting in the first quarter of 2023?


This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the SES Human Capital (HC) team in a dynamic, multicultural organization within the space industry.
 

Based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, and reporting to the Human Capital Business Partner Technology, you will contribute to shape the future of our Technology department by working on two specific projects linked to Talent Acquisition, Training and Talent Management.

1st project: Junior Engineers Training roadmap :

  • You will be responsible for building a training and engagement programme for Junior Engineers and any recent college graduate hired in our Technology. In that purpose, you will:
    • Liaise with the managers of our Technology department to understand and identify the priority skills to be acquired by the Junior Engineers to match SES’s future needs and create a pipeline of relevant talents;
    • List the available on-the-job and in-course trainings available internally, and together with our Learning & Development colleagues, design a one-year training path in order to prepare our Junior Engineers to support any Technology team on a need basis;
    • Together with the HCBP Technology and the Talent Acquisition team, coordinate the advertisement and hiring of a Junior Engineers pool (around 10 positions);
    • Create an overview of adjacent teams for each of the Junior Engineer positions, suitable for regular exchange, cross learning and potential rotations.

 

2nd project: Job descriptions and Career path standardization :

  • You will be responsible for the update and standardization of a sample of job descriptions for our Technology department; 
  • You will support a long-term project of career path definition, by helping precising the skills criteria and expectations associated to the different job levels within our Technology department;
  • You will also support the HCBP Technology on various daily tasks and familiarise with this function.


YOUR PROFILE

1. You must have

  • Current student in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business administration, Engineering or Social Sciences with a major in Human Resources;
  • Strong interest in Human Resources field, basic understanding of HR processes and practices;
  • Good computer literacy with MS-Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook);
  • Fluency in spoken and written English;
  • Able to work in Luxembourg (EU-citizenship or current valid work permit for Luxembourg).

 

2. It would be nice if you had

  • An interest in the Technological area is an asset; 
  • Good communication skills, easiness to communicate at all levels;
  • Good organization and project management skills;
  • Dynamic and pro-active; 
  • Fluency in written and spoken French is considered an asset.
