Internship - Business Case Analysis for Govsatcom services

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
6-month internship, starting in March 2021.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an interdisciplinary team in a fast-moving global organization within an innovative and unique industry.

Based in Betzdorf - Luxembourg, you will contribute to the strategy under definition to provide Govsatcom services. You will work as part of the Sales & Business Development Team, analyzing and evaluating Business Cases scenarios for Govsatcom services.

GovSat is a brand operated by LuxGovSat S.A., a public-private joint venture between the Luxembourg Government and SES, the world-leading satellite operator. 
Our mission is to provide secure, reliable and accessible satellite communication services for governments – addressing the demand for connectivity resulting from defence and civilian security applications.
GovSat introduces a new type of geostationary satellite aimed exclusively at government and defence users and our 24/7 secure operations with security-cleared personnel and experts will further support the demands of institutional and defence applications.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You will perform the Business Case Analysis related to the provision of Govsatcom services by two major steps.

Step 1 : Define the relevant data, assumptions & prepare the Business analysis

• Identify the targeted market segments,
• Identify the penetration rate regarding the competition and the targeted market segments,
• Identify the relevant scenarios (optimistic, pessimistic ….)
• Identify all the needed parameters and assumptions.

Step 2 : Perform the Business Case Analysis and present the Financial outputs.

YOUR PROFILE

• Being a current and advanced student (Master degree) in Aerospace Engineering or Business with dual competence (scientific & business),
• Corporate Finance and Discounted Cash-Flow Analysis (NPV, IRR, Payback, WACC parameters …),
• Computer literate in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Curiosity and strong involvement,
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills,
• Easy communication at all levels,
• Fluency in English
• Knowledge in telecom industry welcomed but not mandatory.
• EU-citizen or work permit for Luxembourg
