Intern, Inventory & Data Support Specialist

 

 

 

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

 

It is important for many stakeholders to have a complete overview of the equipment inventory and its location.

In this role, you will support the maintenance of an up-to-date inventory by collecting, reviewing, formatting, compiling and consolidating equipment-related data. You will ensure high data integrity to support effective operational decision-making and cross-team coordination.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Maintain consistency and a high level of attention to detail
  • Support continuous improvement of inventory-related data flows and processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with operational standards
  • Process data from various data sources (SAP, Excel)
  • Review, create and prepare inventory data
  • Contribute to smooth coordination between Engineering, Warehousing, and SAP stakeholders to maintain data accuracy across systems
  • Ensure that equipment data is accurate and complete to support downstream operational and planning activities

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT or related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain focus in routine, detail-oriented tasks
  • Understanding of technical terms and ability to apply them in discussions with systems owners
  • Ability to structure and prioritise work while delivering consistent results
  • Ability to work independently in a technical environment
  • Adherence to relevant rules and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in office tools including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365 suite of applications
  • Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset
