ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting internship opportunity to join the SES People & Culture team to work on the future European Works Council initiative!
In this role, you will support the Employee Relations Manager to start the journey to comply with the European Union's directive to establish a European Works Council in SES' European locations. You will look at legislations and requirements on both local and European level, and translate these into concrete steps the business needs to take. You will also work closely with the Employee Delegations in each country, and coordinate the project through arranging meetings, looking into documentation and establishing processes.
Based in Betzdorf Luxembourg, this internship is suitable for someone interested in HR, Legal or EU topics, and is ready to make an impact in their internship. The internship will start in January - March 2025. Are you up for the challenge?
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the setup of the Compant European Works Council in developing a timeline for implementing the representation structure and identify key stakeholders, including management, HR and employee representatives
- Conduct research and gather data to support HR processes
- Prepare HR documentation, including reports, presentations and meeting minutes
- Coordinate and communicate with HR stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely completion of HR tasks
- Monitor HR project progress and identidy potential risks or issues, providing recommendations for mitigation
- Support the organization and facilitation of HR meetings and workshops
- Participate in the HR reviews and contribute to continuous improcement initiatives
YOUR PROFILE
1. You must have
- Be a student in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme in HR, Business Administration, Legal or EU related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a global team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work in Luxembourg (EU citizenship or valid work permit)
- Fluency in English; any other EU language is an asset
2. It would be nice if you had
- Familiarity with relevant EU directives, such as the European Works Council (EWC) directive
