Engineer, HC Enterprise Applications

The position is responsible for the efficient support and development of the SAP Human Capital Enterprise Applications for the group, covering all the different process domains and business units. The mission includes the coordination of the internal and external resources assigned to the HCM Business Applications required for the ongoing support and development of the related back office systems.

The incumbent will efficiently manage the evolutive and corrective requests on the active reporting toolset of the company in a lean and directive way while providing guidance to Human Capital regarding its Toolset strategy definition.




Extended Job Description:






  • Participate in the development of the Human Capital IT strategy
  • Manage the continuous development of the HCM domain work by ensuring a methodical and efficient integration between Business stakeholders, internal Business Applications team and external consultants within the ERP Operate & Support team
  • Perform business requirement analysis, design solution and perform required configuration within SAP ECC HCM
  • Assist Business in test scenarios preparation and execution; Support BPP (Business Process Procedure) creation
  • Support resolution of customizing defects; Assist users on the application: act as 3rd line support, provide trainings
  • Liaise with the ERP administration, the application administration and the security administration related to the HCM applications to enable the requested HCM functionalities
  • Manage integration with other domains, related to the HCM toolset: SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Fiori Launchpad, SAP Concur, etc…
  • Establish close cooperation and interface with the other Business Applications domains (Security, functional domains, Basis operations, Infrastructure, etc.)
  • Ensure a lean and agile way of working for the various initiatives on the domain
  • Ensure high quality delivery of solutions for the full HCM Business Applications team (including external partners)
  • Maintain a strong and transparent interaction with the different business stakeholders of the domain
  • Maintain a rigorous cross application management regime ensuring that all applications are documented, run on supported software, are secure in compliance with established IT policy and practice
  • Establish and maintain contact with key users of HCM systems within the company and especially with the team defining with the application specifications
  • Perform all other tasks in the area of expertise as required

  • Master’s Degree / College Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent, coupled with professional vocational training and qualifications
  • Minimum of seven years’ relevant experience, whereof three years or more in a similar position
  • Minimum six years of professional experience working with HR software (SAP on-premise and on cloud) and in implementing tools in large international organizations
  • At least a six years hands-on experience in the analysis, design, development, deployment and maintenance of software applications related to human capital systems
  • Ideally former SAP ECC HCM Senior Consultant from SAP specialized consulting firm
  • Strong methodological knowledge (Agile/Scrum preferable) and proactivity to deploy lean / agile methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of Human Capital architecture and tools, including SAP ECC HCM, SAP SuccessFactors and others
  • Demonstrated hands-on technical skills on SAP ECC HCM: PA/OM setup, Time Management: Time Schema & Rules development skills, Positive & Negative Time implementation experiences, Cross Application TimeSheet
  • Ideally HR-ABAP knowledge: User-exist, BADI, Infotype development and debugging skills; Workflows support, SAP Fiori Launchpad knowledge, ServiceNow HR Service Desk integration knowledge.
  • High understanding of HR processes
  • Strong understanding of business processes and IT
  • Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset
