Electrical Engineer, Facilities Engineering

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer, Facilities Engineering to join our team in Betzdorf, Luxembourg HQ. In this position you will design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical systems for maximizing the operational uptime of services. You will be in close contact with the Facilities Engineering&Operations team (FEO), including the CAD design team, as well as with local site leads, Finance, Legal, and other internal groups in the organization as required for the successful project implementation.
You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):
- Support infrastructure projects related to design, budgeting, project management regarding electrical compo-nents such as electrical infrastructure, including MV/LV power distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS sys-tems, and PDUs
- Support FEO team leads in implementing predictive and preventive maintenance programs for electrical (e.g., UPSs, DGs) and mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, fire protection)
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency in a mission-critical environment
- Conduct root cause analysis on power-related failures and implement corrective actions
- Support electrical testing, commissioning, and system upgrades with minimal operational impact
- Support FEO Team leads as electrical subject matter experts in standard policies and procedures for the FEO operation of offices, teleports, gateways, and other technical areas.
- Perform energy optimization analysis and develop improvement solutions; assist the ESG team in preparing annual reports.
- Prepare and complete as-built documentation, create operational instructions and update existing drawings and documentation.
- Lead the Facilities workstream in teleport and gateway projects in the EMEA region and, if necessary, globally.
YOUR PROFILE
Must have
- Electrical Engineering degree (BSc/MSc or similar)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant Electrical Engineering experience
- Proven experience in office tools like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, AutoCad, MS Project or similar
- Fluency in written and oral English, French/German considered as a big asset
- Able and willing to travel internationally and able to work/communicate with international internal and external peers as well as with SES customers.

- Other relevant foreign languages are an asset
