(Senior) Specialist, People Partner

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
We are looking for a People Partner to join the People Operations team and play a key role in ensuring a positive employee experience, making SES a "Great Place to Work" through creating efficiency and scale for the People & Culture function, strengthen local employee experience and make life simpler for employees and local people managers.
In this role, you will be driving employee engagement, implementing P&C programs and processes, and managing employee relations within your designated regional scope, your area of responsibility encompassing all aspects of the employee life cycle, including onboarding, performance management, career development, dispute resolution, terminations, legal coordination, and work arrangements, but also building strong partnerships across all levels of the organization, the People Partner role is essential in delivering service excellence and driving overall business success.
You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):
- Being point of contact for employees, providing timely feedback and guidance to ensure a positive experience and accompanying employees through on- and off-boarding, internal transfers, promotions, and development
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliant and well documented employee life-cycle management, aligned with regulatory standards and corporate guidelines
- Coordinate with People Centers of Expertise and Talent & Culture leaders to support Manager and Employees in holding career & development conversations. Advise on promotion readiness
- In alignment with SES’s overall Business and People strategy: support in objective-setting, provide guidance on our Performance Management Framework, learning & development opportunities and actively participate in the promotion process
- In alignment with Rewards & Benefits teams: provide guidance on remuneration packages while ensuring local pay equity
- Foster creation of a healthy working environment by advising teams on wellbeing, learning, team-building as well as D&I, addressing inappropriate behavior when faced with it
- Advise managers on labor law as well as SES procedures and policies, managing dispute resolution, terminations, legal coordination, and work arrangements
- Drive compliance practices in all aspects relevant to the employee lifecycle and corporate labor law compliance, including engagement with employee delegations in relevant jurisdictions
- Implement regionally innovative P&C programs and processes driven by our People Center of Expertise, covering crucial aspects such as performance management, leadership development, learning, and fostering a culture of diversity & inclusion
- Contribute to key business execution initiatives, supporting with communication of People & Culture programs towards relevant stakeholders
- Proactively identify solutions for improvement on people processes and ways of working and effectively implement by driving cross-functional collaboration and engagement
YOUR PROFILE:
Must Have
- Higher education / Professional certification in Human Capital, Law, or related field
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in a similar role, with hands-on experience in Luxembourg and / or European labour law, managing employee relations cases and mediation
- Proficiency with tools for employee lifecycle services, consulting experience, project management and analytical skills considered a plus
- English is required for business needs
- Proven experience working in an international environment
- Knowledge in MS Office suite
