(Senior) Payroll Coordinator

Role description summary

In this position you are responsible for parts of the payroll processing and output within the Luxembourg cluster. You work closely with external payroll providers, HC Business Partners and C&B teams as well as EMEAA teams in Accounting, Tax and Treasury to ensure correct salary payments and compliance of the payroll with local legislation and tax regulations. This is a 80% part-time position (32 hours per week)

 

Extended Job Description:

 

Primary responsibilities / Key result areas

 

  • Responsible for full and timely payroll process for a dedicated number of payrolls from input to salary, tax and social security payments. This also comprises filings to employees, tax authorities and social security institutions according to local legislation
  • Responsible for logging of payroll changes
  • Responsible for SES Luxembourg time management (e.g. certificate control, and Luxembourg social security filing and SAP recording and reporting)
  • Responsible for proper tax treatment/implementation of payroll changes provided by the C&B and HC team members
  • Maintain up to date general ledger payroll accounts and preparation of reconciliation and accruals for Finance and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Respond to payroll queries from various stakeholders (e.g. employees, HC colleagues, man-agers) including but not limited to ad-hoc reporting and the preparation of pro forma calculations for both regular as well as hypo tax/shadow payroll set ups and yearly cross-borders follow-up and regularization
  • Ensures accurate and up-to-date data input in the HRIS system (currently SAP)
  • Continuous learning and suggestions on how to improve the status quo

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Payroll certification/experience with APSAL
  • Fluency in English
  • At least 2 years’ experience in payroll, preferably in an international environment
  • Some experience with Luxembourg- and preferably some international tax legislation
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office tools and collaboration platforms

 

 

What we consider to be of advantage 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in payroll and/or finance
  • Financial regulatory knowledge; knowledge of financial policies and standards
  • Practical experience with ADP streamline and SAP software and interfaces
  • Fluency in either French, German or Luxembourgish
  • Work experience in an English speaking environment, preferably abroad
