Extended Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities/Key Result Areas:

 

  • Identify, design and document SES Cloud reference architectures for frequent use cases
  • Analyse technical and functional requirements for new workloads and projects coming to the Cloud
  • Design, architect and document Cloud environments based on previous requirements analysis
  • Identify cloud solutions meeting the needs of the projects
  • Enable other IT departments for successful cloud adoption by providing architectural and technical guidance
  • Embrace cloud-native thinking, solution design and service adoption
  • Stay up to date with cloud platform evolution and identify opportunities for SES

 

Who We Are Looking For (More About You):

 

In order to achieve the outcomes described above, we believe you will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:

 

  • Education at a University level in Computer Science or related fields (lack of University education can be replaced by relevant experience)
  • Business focus – understand business needs and transform functional requirements into technical Cloud architecture solutions
  • Problem-solving skills – ability to think practical, solutions-oriented and work in a structured way
  • Capable of working with little supervision in a collaborative and team-focused environment
  • Ability to set priorities and to deliver within time frame

 

Skills/Competencies:

 

  • Ability to design and formalize cloud-native and hybrid technical architectures
  • Ability to explain technically complex scenarios to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent team player with the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise, meet goals and deliver results
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and “doer mentality”
  • High level of integrity and work ethic

 

Preferred Education & Experience (a combination of education and experience will be considered):

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field (a combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • 6-8 years of relevant working experience
  • Previous working experience with Cloud platforms and Cloud migration

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Advanced experience with Cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and transferring applications to the cloud
  • Any other Cloud platform certifications (AWS, GCP) are considered a plus
  • Ability to occasionally travel domestically or internationally
