(Junior) Analyst, FP&A

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent’s key role and responsibility is to drive P&L reporting during the close and planning cycles, with the aim to provide relevant decision-making analyses. The position requires the individual to work both autonomously and part of a team, communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and analyse and present information in a non-technical way, aligned to the execution of budgetary commitments and long-term growth plans and strategy for SES.

 

You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list): 

 

  • Deliver financial results by ensuring revenues are correctly assigned and costs appropriately reflected and recognized in all relevant reporting dimensions
  • Support preparation of Budgets & Forecast in partnership with Commercial Management and other Key stakeholders. Ensure inputs reflect expected outcome from all the Stakeholders and comply with process and requirements
  • Support the preparation of the monthly Business Reviews and as well any other reporting needed for the vertical. Also contribute to all planning cycles preparation notably budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Work closely and support the Commercial Management, FP&A, Financial Operations and Asset Management teams, to provide key commentary, insights. Identify and analyse trends, and incorporate opportunities and risks into subsequent month end, outlook and planning cycles.

 

 YOUR PROFILE

1. Must have 

  •  0-3 years of related experience 
  • University degree in Finance or Business Applications or equivalent education
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving with proven ability to deal with large volumes of unstructured data from a variety of sources and construct a path to enable key business decisions which includes CRM, pipeline management and business intelligence tools, concepts & infrastructure
  • Interest in financial planning and analysis, with strong affinity with data analysis tools; Excel and Business Intelligence tools, within a large business unit(s) of a global operation
  • Fluency in English   

 

2. Nice to have 

  • Understanding of the satellite, telecommunications industries
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and prioritization skills
  • Proactive self-starter with ability to quickly establish credibility with all levels with-in organisation from all disciplines and hierarchy levels in a global environment
